The move to The Ranch has been a bit more time consuming and full of hassles than I presumed, but then again, that’s what I get for thinking.

For those of you that are not familiar with me I moved my posts from the old Church over here. I will be posting here at least 3 time a week, as well as my Church home, The Church of the Great Oval.

I must admit, I have had some serious hassles at wordpress and I am considering moving the entire Church over to Thunder Lounge, where I can talk to a real human being when I have an issue. I am noticing on my stats over there that a lot of people of clicking through this link, so I suppose I should take advantage of it.

I had an interesting day the other day. I attented a chat hosted by Gillette Young Guns and Sportsmates.com. Funny how the Elder Busch mentioned nothing about the previous days “issues” with Tony Stewart:)

The transcript of the chat is post at The Church, along with a little contest. Gillette Young Guns, always good to me, has provided me with a few trinkets to give away as prizes. Check it out if ya want. Or don’t.

I was going to post on whether Kurt Busch should be suspended, if so and for how many races. For those of you that know me, this may surprise you. I do not think he should be suspended yet. Make him wait. Sweat.

Suspend him after the road races. I love to watch him in them.

OR…

Suspend him only if he makes The Chase. Then suspend him for the rest of the season.

Or…

Suspend him for one race and get on with it. Aggression is part of the fun. He does need to be suspended in my eye, for one race, as his temeper and audacity could have killed someone. That cannot be looked at with a blind eye, and I doubt it will be.

Bench Racin Charlie had Ryan Newman scheduled for an interview on Tues. Somehow a wire got crossed, and Charlie had to settle for me filling in the dead air. Poor Guy. Guess it wasn’t too bad for him, as he asked me if I wanted a smoke afterwards.

RIP Mr France. You were and will continue to be a legend. Without you and your family, we would not have the Sport we so love.

Later LugnutZ and Lounge Lizards.

Gotta go find a Bull.

The Daytona 500

First of all I want to thank Thunder Lounge for the opportunity to blog here amidst the best NASCAR commentary in the blogosphere
My name is Clance’ McClannahan and I am the (yes…legal) Pastor, Revered/and Self Appointed Goddess and Diva of The Church of The Great Oval.  I am a quiet, shy,  little tiny diminutive lady Photobucket - Video and Image Hostingwho also kinda likes NASCAR. I have an opinion on occasion, on certain aspect’s of the sport, it’s team’s and Driver’s.

Can you guess how many lies were in the first paragraph? Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

I am a Minister and Reverend and I can legally baptise, marry and bury you.

I am a Self appointed Goddess/ Diva. I expect to be treated that way. Ask my husband.

It’s the rest that are lies. I mean creative writing.  Well not all are lies… Some are wishes.

Lie 1. I am quiet.

The Truth: Nope. Never.

Lie 2. Shy.

The Truth: Hardy har har, yeah right. I am my own reality show.

Lie 3. Little Tiny Dimunitive Lady.

The Truth: What is little? Does 5 foot 3 count?

Tiny? Lie. That would mean skinny right? I am just right…  a curvy woman who considers a few extra lbs. an asset that just makes me softer.

Diminutive? I don’t even know what that means.

Lady? Most of the time…unless my Irish red headed temper gets engaged.

Right now the Irish in me is alive and kicking.

I have decided that the majority of NASCAR fans anymore just watch the sport so they have something to whine about. I hate freaking whiners! SHEESH!!

Poor Mark…Bad Kevin…Poor Tony…Bad Tony…Bad Kurt…Poor Jr….bad Matt, Kasey and Michael. Bad Chad…Cheaters!! OH my!! Imagine that!! In NASCAR?? What a Shocker!!

Bad Toyota!! How dare a car compete in America’s favorite sport and spoil everything!! Shhhh!!! Alway’s make sure that you don’t actually know what your talking about when you whine about American Stock Cars…Toyota is the only stock car in NASCAR which is actually made in America!! All the other’s are made in either Canada or Mexico.

I have had numerous emails regarding the NASCAR rule books “says!” like they actually have a rulebook in their hands.

Tell me? Where is the Hallowed book, besides in NASCAR only hands? Where can you get a hold of the Almighty Sacred Scripture? How do you know exactly when  a new rule is added to the book and then how did it get into your sacred book in your special fan’s hands? I want one and I want instant updates on any and all rule changes so I can be so clear minded and sensible as those of you who think “poor” Mark Martin was cheated again of a victory!
I tivo’d the Daytona 500, as I do all the races. I not only Tivo’d the broadcast this time, but also tivo’d from the “other” tivo…the Harvick channel on Directv’s Speedpass. I went back, frame by frame on both sets. When the accident happened, Harvick was already ahead of Mark Martin. If the yellow had been thrown at the exact instance of the accident, at the first touch of a bumper or swish of a tail…Kevin Harvick would have won that race. Period. He outraced Martin. He “Earhned” that win on that special day. Just like the Elder Earnhardt would have done.

I have a tremendous respect for Mark Martin. Mark Martin has announced that he will run six races in the Wood  Brothers No. 21 Craftsman Truck entry, with the first race coming next weekend at California Speedway.
Martin will look to defend his truck series win there a year ago, when he led 63 of 106 laps in route to the victory.
I was rooting for Mark after Tony wrecked (with the Elder Earnhardt as his Guardian Angel, I might add.) He ran a great race. So did Harvick and many others. Harvick won because he beat everyone. Photobucket - Video and Image HostingTook names and kicked butt.

I could whine and say Oh! Poor Tony…Kurt took him out. But he didn’t. Kurt Busch even humbly took the blame that he didn’t need to. He was sad, shook up, yet cool and collected. Tony was cool and sparkly as a cucumber. He is either on some seriously strong happy drugs or is wildly in love. Probably both. The biggest shock all day to me was Tony’s lack of re-action. Kurt’s cool accountability. Yup! Those were my surprises.

The Elder Guardian Angel Earnhardt was protecting a lot of those boys. His son, Tony and especially Clint Boyer. That was a wild way to finish a race. Upside down and on fire! Whoowheee!

Remember now as we move Westward to California or Bust!! Fat Tuesday was yesterday, Lent began today and you must give up your beer and beads for boobs trades.

Tally Ho!! Onward!!
