NASCAR Predictions and ‘Scopes for California Speedway

Whew!! This is going to be some race!! I have never in all my years of looking at aspects seen aspects like this, all together in one place for one sporting event. Like I have said all along….the entire theme Astrologically in 2006 for NASCAR is controversy.
This prediction will put to rest any possible idea’s out there that I am not fair. I swear on a stack of HOLY Books, that I did not make this up.

As above, so below…I will start with a little syncronicity:

The Gospel according to Clance’: Jeff Green - California Speedway

The Gospel according to Clance’: Dale Jarrett - California Speedway

The Gospel according to Clance’: Elliot Sadler - California Speedway

$%$#**^$ … Leave Elliot out of it….and Gordon and Jr.
That’s all I have to say about that.

The Gospel according to Clance’: Ryan Newman - Caliifornia Speedway

The Gospel according to Clance’: Jimmy Johnson - California Speedway

Hmmmm….

The Gospel according to Clance’: Tony Stewart - California Speedway

The Gospel according to Clance’: Matt Kenseth - California Speedway

Getting the picture yet? See a pattern here? I said please. Will you guys…leave Elliot out of it….and Jeff Gordon and Jr? Please.

The Gospel according to Clance’: Dale Earnhardt Jr. - California Speedway

The Gospel according to Clance’: Jeff Gordon - California Speedway

I threw these in just for something a little more on the Lighter side.

The Gospel according to Clance’: Joe Nemechek - California Speedway

The Gospel according to Clance’: Martin Truex Jr. - California Speedway

The Gospel according to Clance’: Mark Martin - California Speedway ** I expect Mark To be the Truck champ this year **

Who do I expect to win?
Don’t ever say I predict with discrimnation and favortism…EVER.
Yup…if you have read my blog for awhile then…Well…I think you know what’s coming… here.
Now go here for a post race prediction.

You can read all the Driver’s full scopes for today here.
Remember, you saw it here first.

NASCAR, California Speedway Predictions, and ME..

Tony Stewart speaks to the media:
“What you guys have to remember is you guys don’t need to be in every part of our lives,” said Stewart, trying to stay in his happy place. “Let us deal with ourselves. You guys don’t need to be a part of everything that goes on this garage area.”The stuff that happened last week is left over last week. I talked about it. Guys go on to the next week.”
**the crowd boos**
Clance’ sticks up for him:

“YEAH!! Real Men go on to the next week!!
Westward Ho!! Right on!!
WHOOH!! WHOOH!! WHOOH!” Tony Stewart is the man!!

**She jumps and shakes her fist high in the air as she yells! She has also been showing her loyalty to Sterling Marlin’s old sponsor by induging in one or two… more sponsor products than she should of considering she is standing on a fixed object high in the air with no guard rails. Clance’ falls off the top of the RV she is standing on, which is parked in the infield at California Speedway.

Clance’ will be posting ’scopes on her laptop, full of narcotic pain killers, from high atop a bed in some hotel room after her release from the ER. She is expected to be released from the hotel room and allowed back in the infield with the rest of her crew, long before the race tomorrow.

Teehee… Westward Ho alright.

Is NBC Running on Half Truths about the Daytona 500?

Racing Junky’s Tiffany Myers has posted a very interesting and intelligently written review and commentary of what she saw at the Daytona 500.
My Sister in-law was at the race and said the same thing. Matt Kenseth is her Driver and she freaking HATES Tony. She says one of her great goals in life is to have a Tony bashing website. After she got home and watched the race broadcast she had Tivo’d, she felt it was incredibly biased. She said couldn’t believe it. She said it made her so mad she wrote to them and she never does things like that. She said she will doubt every scene and comment regarding NASCAR ever broadcast by NBC again. Pretty strong words from someone who doesn’t get riled up about much of anything except Tony Stewart and people who are mean to animals and children.

I am anxious to hear from Antonette @ Unrestricted: My NASCAR Rants and Raves and Earnhardt Fan Always 3 when she gets back.
I am sure she will be posting her take on this. She always calls it like she sees it.
I don’t usually jump on something like this but…I have to wonder.

The Official Chad Knaus Probation Watch

I am officially in preparation for the Holy Pilgramage of the Church of the Great Oval to Fontana and Vegas.
While I was making sure I had a lot of pressure on myself by putting everything I need to do off until the last minute…I caught up on reading some of my favorite NASCAR blogs. I was reading Marc’s post about whining at Full Throttle. Marc always has lots of brilliant commentary to say on all aspects of the racing world. He pointed me to an newer blog out there called Pit Road Post.
I have some competition in my little NASCAR Goofreakingball World. I laughed my guts out. These two are freaking FUNNY. Creative. Great Posts. I am in Goof-ball Love. Make sure you have some time or make some time to go through their posts. There are several of note that you can check out real quick if you don’t have the time this second to sit and read. There is a post about a Jeff Gordon issue, a NASCAR workout, and they are the place to keep track of the Official Chad Knaus Probation Watch. These two are my kind of guys. I wonder what they think of Aliens…the next chapter in the Saga is about to unfold.
The other blog I want to point out is Rev Jim’s Rants and Raves. His insight on the Return of the Bad Boy is fair and thoughtful. He has plenty to say on a lot of other subjects too. A dedicated Member of the Church.
I adding links to these blogs in my daily stops. They are worthy of some good shout outs.

Chad Knaus

?? I am confused
I thought “Hanging Chad”(s) had something to do with how the leader of the Free World got where he is…

Leadership Principles

“Leaders aren’t born, they are made. And they are made just like anything else, through hard work. And that’s the price we’ll have to pay to achieve that goal, or any goal.”
~ Vince Lombardi

The power to lead drives the capacity to succeed. No question, leadership skills are all important, as they are a key differentiator in organizations of every nature. Leaders are not “born”, but are made just like transforming a lump of coal into a diamond, under tremendous heat, pressure and time.

Chad Knaus has been suspended for three more races. Fontana, Las Vegas and Atlanta, fined $25,000 and placed on probation for the rest of the 2006 season. It is the most severe penalty in NASCAR history.
Terry Labonte, driving for Hall of Fame Racing was docked 25 points and team owner William Saunders was penalized 25 owner points. Crew chief Philippe Lopez was fined $25,000.
Hall of Fame Racing has it’s engines lease program from Joe Gibbs Racing. JD Gibbs took full responsibility in the statement he released regarding the illegal carberator:
“Joe Gibbs Racing provides all of the engines and carburetors for Hall of Fame Racing,” said Gibbs. “We are responsible for any issues having arisen from the unapproved carburetor that was taken by NASCAR in Daytona. It is never our intention to put any unapproved parts on any of our race cars or those of our partners. We will join Hall of Fame Racing in appealing the severity of the penalty.”
Jimmy Johnson, in his interview with ESPN’s Jim Rome, said : “We made a mistake. We were called on it. We’re living up to it. We have to make the most of it til he (Knaus) comes back.”

Statements all made in the light of true leadership. Accountability. Action. Change. Vision.

When someone has a string of failures, it usually means they are taking action. When they recognize mistakes they are well on the way to producing better results. Tony Stewart, in his comments regarding restrictor plate racing, bump drafting and the possibilities of impending doom, was thrown into the unofficial role of NASCAR Leadership. When you are a leader you are held to a higher standard than when you are not.

I want to focus on the last 12 months and the accomplishments of not only Tony Stewart and the entire #20 team, but every Driver and race team in NASCAR. Race teams are achieving better results with, and through others… creating incredible force-multipliers in NASCAR itself. They are all creating greater leverage through powerful interpersonal synergy.

The road to success is paved with clear expectations and brilliant execution. To be an inspirational leader, you must first be inspired by and absolutely committed to an ideal dream. Tony Stewart, Greg Zippadelli and the entire #20 team are. Jimmy Johnson, Chad Knaus and the entire #48 team are. Whatever the cause, they will never attract anyone ease’s interest if it doesn’t inspire them first.
Effective leaders, must learn how to share their vision with others in a way that helps them commit whole-heartedly to the same dream. Inspire others and there’s nothing they can’t do. These two teams have inspiring visions and strive toward high ideals. They are capable of achieving huge goals, because they have motivated an army of people to contribute their time and talents, hearts and souls to the same dream.

Tony, Zippi, Jimmy and Chad have created a model of loyalty in their teams. They are happy to do whatever needs to be done, because they are all swept up in the excitement of achieving the same mission.
How can they mess that success up? What have some driver’s and teams done?
Underestimated the impact they have on others.
Believeing individually that they have a personal mission — and that only they can accomplish it.
Some may have mistakenly believed that their personal mission is a solo race — with no benefit to or effect on anyone else. Both of these beliefs limit their potential. Both restrict the unlimited possibilities that would be available if others could be inspired to join in, and benefit from, what they are trying to accomplish.
There are tangible RESULTS… and then there is everything else. When teams known for producing superior results perform with that same vision, they become successful beyond their wildest dreams.

If they don’t , they won’t.

I have a feeling that in heading to California, every team entered in to the race have decided that right now is the perfect time to take a baseline assessment of their expectations and the power to achieve them. Leaders have a crystal-clear vision of the future that directly aligns with their core personal values. The penalties received can lead to the discovery of what could hold them back from the success they all deserve.
They have the ability to communicate vision to others, unleashing the power of shared goals, focused plans and an unwavering commitment to positive action.

A new day, a new race.
As I said at the first of the year, Astrologically, the main theme I see repeatedly for the 2006 year in NASCAR is controversy and growth.
Keep an eye and an ear out on the “stars” …This is going to be a heck of a season.

Smoke Signals…

I have had a good ol’ time running around reading head lines and posts. Listening to late night talk show hosts….ROFLAO almost…as close as I get anyway. Visually? Trust me, it’s pretty close.
I think the Great Scot’ has put it as close as can be described in his Daytona: Final Roundup editorial today at Backstretch Motorsports. “Heee’s baaack!”. Bram also hopes Zippy has stocked up on antacids. I am thinking Xanex…or Adovan. When asked how Tony was doing emotionally yesterday, Zippy was like my Church of the Great Oval guard dog , Scooby:
“HRUH? He’s fine.” Acted like he had no idea what could be concerned about. I might have possibly enjoyed that whole race a little too much. I have been snickering all day.
USA Today quotes the great Smoke-stack with lashing out at Baby Busch:
“”He’s the one guy who’s probably going to hurt somebody out here,” Stewart said. “He’s all over the place out here. He’s what we like to call a bird with no feathers. He just doesn’t know where he’s going.”
I believe I have been pointing that out for awhile.
Alien takeover.
Foiled again.
Ye best be learnin some manner’s boy.
Those ol’ timers may have to teach you a lesson or two.
You are not above being spanked by NASCAR’s new paddle.
Former Champions either.
Get it?

In this couple days of Smoke/Kenseth/48 hater’s/and Driver bashers, there are a few Driver’s that I think have been over looked for outstanding performances. Robby Gordon
Casey Mears
Kirk Shelmerdine
Brian Vickers
Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Dale Jarrett
and many other’s.

So off to Fontana we go…literally in the next couple of days.

DAYTONA 500!! 2006

Ok…so Tony had a bad day…I think perhaps he was a little grumpy. Probably somewhat tired from the week…
My favorite moments of the race today were Tony showing his feelings in his Tony way. When that in- car camera was getting on his nerves, he looked directly in it’s eye and slapped (**I mean gently moved**) it, a courageous and thoughtful safety measure. He protected the other driver’s by making sure his line of sight wasn’t blocked somehow. How can you have a calm and cool head without clear vision?
Matty was a little miffed at Tony for some reason today…**lol** I could hear Bab’s screaming naughty words all way from Texas, clear up here in Idaho. I am sure it wasn’t my imagination.
Matt thought Tony did it on purpose.
Poor Tony had a bad day and replied with a release this explanation, through the team’s car manufacturer:

“Matt always thinks that. I guess Matt didn’t think anything when he got me sideways over in (Turn) 2 either,” said Stewart. “He should have thought about that first.
“But I got penalized but they didn’t penalize him for getting me sideways. He has no room complain. He started the whole thing, and I finished it.”
“Earlier in the race he was shaking his fist to me,” Kenseth said.
Stewart replied: “He should have been smart enough to know not to be tucking down our doors in the first 20 laps of a 200-lap race at Daytona.”

Dale Jarrett, starting the season quietly in the top 10, must have been telling Jeff Green “Hey! Great race!” as he was walking by someones SUV, and Mr. Green was taking a quiet stroll through the parking lot.

Ryan Newman losing in a non- robot like manner said “This could still be the first opportunity for NASCAR to pull away a victory if the thing is illegal.” “It’s disappointing. I think a lot of Jimmie Johnson and his talent, but I’m pretty sure at least three of his last four wins have had conflictions with the cars being illegal.
“You know, it’s not necessarily good for the sport.”
He has evidently decided to trade places with Jeff Gordon in 2006 as The Biggest Whiner.
Jeff Gordon on the other hand, having reason to whine, didn’t. Yeah…yeah…he was a happy camper having happen to own the winning car that JJ won with. Regardless, he wanted the win bad. He didn’t whine at all or blame the wall incident on Tony. He took it like a man.
Tony on the other hand was having a bad day…”That stupid @#$%came up the middle and ran me into the fence,” Stewart yelled over his car radio. The Church of the Great Oval guard dog Scooby said: “HRUH??”

I think in the whole “cheater” thing is just that Chad Knaus, got caught. He got couched… He was penalized. Jimmy Johnson still won because Jimmy Johnson is one heck of a driver. He didn’t make the mistakes he has in the past. He learned from his past and kept his head. He did a great job and has a great win tucked into his belt. He has a right to be proud. He would have crossed that finish line in first place regardless if Biff hadn’t biffed.
Congratulations to the entire #48 team.

Sometimes the penalties are worth it I guess. Jimmy drives well when he is ‘overcoming adversity”. Think about it.
I don’t believe for one second, that every single one of those cars at some point or another, have never been “creatively tweaked”. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. The goal in this sport is to WIN, not lose…The gains that the sport has had in the technical aspect of WINNING since day one could probably all be called cheating at one point or another.
Big Daddy NASCAR showed the kids who was boss today. Got out the paddle and did some spanking. Rules will be rules and the rules will change…and save lives. Thank the Heavens that no one was hurt and there was no big one today.
But was it fun to watch? OH YEAH!! I loved it.
Let the season begin…

Fantasy ending…??

Lap 35:
Would it be something if the race came down to last lap, neck and neck Alien relatives crossing the finish line with so close you can’t call it in finish time and we see:
#2: I won!!
#5 : You did not! I won!!
#2 and #5: $%^^$##(%*^*
They get into a fist fight while waiting for NASCAR to announce the winner.
NASCAR PENALIZES them both for agressive behavior and Mark Martin and JR tie for the win in default!
